Expliquen, antigues frases orientals, que; els grans iluminats, en públic, tenen una aparença poc cridanera, i gairebé candorosa. Qui sap, si aquesta frase, pot definir al nostre protagonista, frase, que avui en dia, molts pocs poden dir que hi pertanyen. Alegria infantil, humilitat, llarga sinceritat, provoca subestimar, a una persona que ha crescut sota l'ombra de ser un oceà de sabiesa.

Com a conte, és la historia de qui creu en la humanitat, que enten la condició humana com qui anhela la felicitat i evitar les angunies del patiment, qui enten la nostra mortalitat, i qui ha captat el que és viure. Qui creu en que aquests elements en comú de la humanitat, faran, que tard, o d'hora, descobreixi que de tots un és familia.

En les nostres terres, ens desconcerta, que la historia, es pugui repetir, generació rere generació. Reting Rinpoche, anomenat regent provisional, tenia en ment i en destinació, fer repetir la historia que a nosaltres tant ens sorpren, i ens desperta la incredulitat. Ell, però, en resta convençut, així com els seus. El convenciment, la perseverancia, demostra la voluntad de cerca, que s'inicià en el llacsagrat de Lhamoi-Lhatso, prop del monasteri de Chokhogyal, a cent cinquanta quilometres al sur de Lhasa. És en aquest llac, on aquell qui pregunta, pot veure els elements del seu passat, de les vides anteriors, i de les cerques a realitzar, i és, on Retin Rinpoche, sabia veure, escoltar, i sentir el llac. Ah, Ka, i Ma. S'apareixien al llac quan el nostre cercador hi va preguntar. Terrats daurats en un verd de jade d'un monasteri, i una granja de máo blau turquesa, va ser la següent visió.

I es guardà silenci en la visió, que no simplement va tenir el responsable, sino que també el seu sèquit.

Com els tres sabis d'orient feren en el seu dia, cercaren les imatges que van veure. Elements secundaris dins de la seva ciència, sorprenents dins de la nostra. Diuen que va ser la mirada de qui va morir, a qui ara cercaven, que els va guiar, cap a on seria el seu pròxim moviment. Era a l'est, i era a l'est, on trobaren, el monestir de la visió, a Kumbun. No van trigar gaire, en trobar, massa a prop per a ser una casualitat, la granja de blau turquesa. Sense mostrar euforia, ni sorpresa -estava previst-, els qui emulaven els tres mags d'orient, intercanviaren les seves robes, quedantse el regent provisional del govern de Lhasa, amb un talismà, la filacteria de qui en el seu moment, els senyalà el camí cap a on el trobarien ara.

Lhamo Thöndup, nen de dos anys, els reconeix, no sense abans, reclamar seu el talismà, la filacteria. Rinpoche, promet al nen, el rosari, si sap qui és. Pel nen es fàcil. Feia res, els hi va senyalar on naixeria, feia res, els havia instruit. El lama de Sera. No simplement el reconeix a ell, sino que als dos forasters que l'acompanyen. No hi ha sorpreses, tot està previst, però altres previsions s'han de complir. Rosaris, negres, grocs, i dos molins d'oració. Per a cada parell, n'hi ha un d'autentic, i un de fals. El nen els sap escollir. Però hi ha un moment, quan trobo dos bastons de viatge, que dubta. Quin era, pensa el nostre protagonista. Escull un altre cop, bé. Sabia que un li agradava més. L'altre, també era seu.

Els tres forastes, sense sorpresa, ni euforia, assinteixen. Saben que Ah, representa Estimat, que Ka, aludeix al monateri de Kumbum, i que Ma, es on qui els va indicar que el trobarien al est, morí. El monasteri Karma Polpai Dorje.

Va ser així, com, Tenzin Gyatzo, Kundun, XIV Dalai Lama, puja al tro de Lhasa. Dia que el van nombrar, senyor del lotus blanc, joia que satisfà tots els desitjos, alhaja vitoriosa, mestre incomparable.

Detingut un sociòleg per "complicitat intelectual"

El passat 31 de juliol, la policia alemanya va arrestar a casa seva al sociòleg Andrej Holm, acusat de "complicitat intelectual" amb el "terrorisme". Holm utilitza els mateixos conceptes i termes que un petit grup d'esquerres que desenvolupa les seves activitats de forma violenta als carrers de Berlín. Donada la seva formació intelectual el govern alemany sospita que és l'encarregat de redactar els manifest de dita formació política, i degut també a la seva condició d'investigador acadèmic, és declarat potencialment perillós. El judici té lloc el 24 d'agost, i està disponible a internet una web per firmar online demanant el seu excarcelament.

La família ha escrit el següent comunicat:

On July 31 my home was raided by German federal police and my partner Andrej Holm was arrested. Our children had to endure a dozen armed cops waking them, and us. Andrej is in prison in Berlin-Moabit since. There are a number of initiatives protesting against this, including two open letters to the federal prosecutor by critical researchers.

A summary: Three people were arrested while alledgedly trying to set fire to four army vehicles. Four other people are assumed to be members of a terrorist organisation called 'militant group' and were observed since last September at least - Andrej being one of them (this included tapping of phones also of family members and friends, email observation of everybody close etc etc). Since he met one of the other three twice this year in so-called conspiratory cirsumstances all seven are now suspected to be 'terrorists' - even though it is
unclear why they met and what was talked about. Current state is that the three who are said to have set fire to the army vehicles and Andrej are imprisoned. The reasons given by the federal prosecutor why Andrej and the three others are suspected to be 'terrorists' are extremely incredible: researching gentrification, access to libraries and intellectual ability are explicitely mentioned as reasons in the arrest warrant. Their treatment in prison is considered similar to treatment of members of RAF in the dark ages of the 70s, according to
the lawyers.

The open letters have already been signed by many international and German academics and activists. I'll paste the text below. A new lawyer's decision about the continuation of imprisonment isexpected for August 24th, so anything that raises attention before that date may be helpful.

Open letter to the Generalbundesanwaltschaft against the criminalization of critical academic research and political engagement

On 31st July 2007 the flats and workplaces of Dr. Andrej Holm and Dr. Matthias B., as well as of two other persons, were searched by the police. Dr. Andrej Holm was arrested, flown by helicopter to the German Federal Court in Karlsruhe and brought before the custodial judge. Since then he has been held in pretrial confinement in a Berlin jail. All four people have been charged with "membership in a terrorist association according to § 129a StGB" (German Penal Code, section 7 on 'Crimes against Public Order'). They are alleged to be members of a so-called 'militante gruppe' (mg). The text of the search warrant revealed that preliminary proceedings against these four people have been going on since September 2006 and that the four had since been under constant surveillance.

A few hours before the house searches, Florian L., Oliver R. und Axel H. were arrested in the Brandenburg region and accused of attempted arson on four vehicles of the German Federal Army. Andrej Holm is alleged to have met one of these three persons on two occasions in the first half of 2007 in supposedly "conspiratorial circumstances".

The Federal Prosecutor (Bundesanwaltschaft) therefore assumes that the four above mentioned persons as well as the three individuals arrested in Brandenburg are members of a "militant group," and is thus investigating all seven on account of suspected "membership in a terrorist association" according to §129a StGB. According to the arrest warrant against Andrej Holm, the charge made against the above mentioned four individuals is presently justified on the following grounds, in the order that the federal prosecutor has listed them:

- Dr. Matthias B. is alleged to have used, in his academic publications, "phrases and key words" which are also used by the 'militante gruppe';
- As political scientist holding a PhD, Matthias B. is seen to be intellectually capable to "author the sophisticated texts of the 'militante gruppe' (mg)". Additionally, "as employee in a research institute he has access to libraries which he can use inconspicuously in order to do the research necessary to the drafting of texts of the 'militante gruppe'";
- Another accused individual is said to have met with suspects in a conspiratorial manner: "meetings were regularly arranged without, however, mentioning place, time and content of the meetings"; furthermore, he is said to have been active in the "extreme left-wing scene";
- In the case of a third accused individual, an address book was found which included the names and addresses of the other three accused;
- Dr. Andrej H., who works as urban sociologist, is claimed to have close contacts with all three individuals who have been charged but still remain free;
- Dr. Andrej H. is alleged to have been active in the "resistance mounted by the extreme left-wing scene against the World Economic Summit of 2007 in Heiligendamm";
- The fact that he – allegedly intentionally -- did not take his mobile phone with him to a meeting is considered as "conspiratorial behavior".

Andrej H., as well as Florian L., Oliver R. und Axel H., are detained since 1st August 2007 in Berlin-Moabit under very strict conditions: they are locked in solitary confinement 23 hours a day and are allowed only one hour of courtyard walk. Visits are limited to a total of half an hour every two weeks. Contacts, including contacts with lawyers, are allowed only through separation panes, including contact with their lawyers. The mail of the defense is checked.

The charges described in the arrest warrants reveal a construct based on very dubious reasoning by analogy. The reasoning involves four basic hypotheses, none of which the Federal High Court could substantiate with any concrete evidence, but through their combination they are to leave the impression of a "terrorist association". The social scientists, because of their academic research activity, their intellectual capacities and their access to libraries, are said to be the brains of the alleged "terrorist organization".

For, according to the Federal prosecutor, an association called "militante gruppe" is said to use the same concepts as the accused social scientists. As evidence for this reasoning, the concept of "gentrification" is named - one of the key research themes of Andrej Holm und Matthias B. in past years, about which they have published internationally. They have not limited their research findings to an ivory tower, but have made their expertise available to citizens' initiatives and tenants' organizations. This is how critical social scientists are constructed as intellectual gang leaders.

Since Andrej Holm has friends, relatives and colleagues, they now also are suspect to be "terrorists", because they know Andrej. Another accused individual was blamed for having the names of Andrej Holm and
of two others charged (but not jailed) in his address book. Since the latter are also deemed to be "terrorists" – this is how "guilt by association" is established.

Paragraph § 129a, introduced in Germany in 1976, makes it possible for our colleagues to be criminalized as "terrorists". This is how, through § 129a, the existence of a "terrorist group" is claimed.

Through these constructs, every academic research activity and political work is presented as potentially criminal – in particular when politically engaged colleagues who intervene in social struggles are concerned. This is how critical research, in particular research linked with political engagement, is turned into ideological ring leadership and "terrorism".

We demand that the Federal Prosecutor (Bundesanwaltschaft) immediately suspend the § 129a-proceedings against all parties concerned and to release Andrej Holm and the other imprisoned from jail at once. We strongly reject the outrageous accusation that the academic research activities and the political engagement of Andrej Holm are to be viewed as complicity in an alleged "terrorist association". No arrest warrant can be deduced from the academic research and political work of Andrej Holm. The Federal Prosecutor, through pplying Article § 129, is threatening the freedom of research and teaching as well as social-political engagement.

Momo, contes per a nens i grans

"Jo només vull contar histories, és l'únic que m'interesa. Sota la literatura pesa, des de fa trenta o quaranta anys, la prohibició de narrar grans histories", afirmava Michael Ende a una entrevista atorgada a un periodista alemany (Josef Beuys) a l'any 1985.

Ende, refugiat en una familia d'artistes del surrealisme, bohemis de l'Alemanya decadent i pre-nazi dels 20, crescut en l'Alemanya que patí el nazisme, per a viure tot seguit una contraresposta colpida amb un fort realisme, va fer front al que era la por a la fantasia. En uns anys durs de postguerra, on les autoritats espantades o horroritzades, i amb fort sentiment de culpabilitat, primaven la educació dels valors amb una posició privilegiada del realisme; intelectuals que deien que podia explicar millor els valors socials i polítics era la radiografia de la realitat, Michael Ende, va plantar-se, no sense pagar abans el preu de l'exili, a Roma per a fer creure que la fantasia, existeix.

Explicava, que va ser Chesterton, qui deia que els contes de fades no son realistes per que diguin que els dracs existeixen, sino perque ens diuen que se'ls pot vencer. És Neil Gaiman, succesor de Lewis Carroll, qui creu en la màgia i l'ilusionisme de la literatura, i que com tota màgia, i ilusionisme, tot es basa en el reflex de la realitat. No és menys, la historia de Momo, que l'escriptor alemany va realitzar a Roma, en el seu exili, i destrossar l'Alemanya realista cautivant a petits i grans, demostrant a les editores, que la fantasia triomfaria sobre la rigidesa.


Momo, nena anterior a Bastian de la Historia Interminable, en l'imaginari d'Ende, ens explica com la seva senzillesa, pot vencer a la complexitat. La virtud d'escoltar, la puresa, la simplicitat de les paraules, i entendre els problemes i enfocar tots els problemes amb que es troba des de l'origen i arrel, son els seus trets essencials. Momo ens ensenya a viure, ens mostra com estimar, i com creure en la fantasia sense perdre la realitat. Ens ensenyar a tenir color, en un món gris. Momo té la capacitat, de donar lliçons severes als adults, i a enfrentar els nens a crèixer en valors, i sobretot, no perdre'ls quan es fan grans.

No content amb la facilitat, el llibre ens endinsa en un món real i fantàstic, on sembla que l'escriptor es presenta a si mateix com Gigi, narrador d'histories. Fantàstic pels contes que es viuen en l'interior de la pròpia historia, fantàstic per Hora i Casiopea, per les flors del temps, pels homes grisos, i per les histories de passat, present i futur, que s'ha d'enfrontar la nostra petita protagonista. No content amb la facilitat, i la fantasia, a més a més, l'alemany ens dona una lliçó cabdal a traves de Momo, mostrant-nos que la vida, és la d'un propi, les coses que li fan viure, sentir, i ser, i ens fa entendre que és el temps, el que ens fa gaudir la nostra pròpia vida. En un model social, que perdut el camí de la persona, Ende ja ens va avisar ara fa 30 anys. La llàstima, que pocs han llegit l'historia de Momo, pocs li han fet cas, i pocs s'enrecorden si ho han fet, perquè precisament, la crítica més dura se l'endú la humanitat, per la seva deshumanitat, per l'alimentació d'un consumisme exagerat que creix en la pròpia societat, on existeix un individualisme mal entès, en complement amb una unitat mal entesa, de grans conceptes socials que ens imposen que és la nostra vida i que és el que hem d'escollir. Mentres Momo, ens ensenya a decidir que és el que a nosaltres, ens fa viure, i a través de la fantasia, ens demostra quin és el camí que hem de pendre.

Ende, ha demostrat, un cop més, que la fantasia, guanya a la realitat, a l'hora d'ensenyar-nos, la pròpia realitat. Qui diu que la màgia no existeix? La màgia està quan saps viure.

Més que mai, em sento el teu germà.

Terres

Despertes, per una llum suau daurada que t'acaricia. Somrius, no hi ha res que valoris més que un despertar natural, acompanyat d'un descans que necessitaves. Avances, descalç, mentres et vesteixes. Acaricies la porta de fusta, que fa un grinyol que fins i tot notes agradable, i camines saborejant el mas que t'ha acollit. Mas històric, que ha viscut moltes miseries, d'antics pagesos que encara parlen baix quan es refereixen a l'amo, i obeixen devotament. Surts, i t'envaeix una sensació d'olors i silenci al que mai t'acabes d'acostumar, per la riquesa que hi trobes. Ahir eren estrelles, avui és una fresca rosada que embelleix el paisatge viu de la comarca pre-pirinènca. Has de marxar, i notes una punxada de nostalgia, quan ni tant sols has marxat.

Recordes viatges a l'Escala, al litoral de l'Empordà, com els has gaudit de petit, o inclús amb el que ha estat la teva parella. No la trobes a faltar a ellà, tot i que si els moments de l'Escala, més aviat encisat per la bellesa marítima de la costa del nord. Però et lamentes. No hi has viscut prou. Caps de setmana, lleugeres escapades, que mai t'han permés conèixer els pobles de la teva terra, i la seva gent. Lamentes la teva carència, coneixer històries és el que més t'agrada, i saborejar-les i viure-les, el que més et revitalitza. Reflexiones, no has saborejat res.

No hi tornes, t'encisa el mediterrani, però mai has rebutjat els pirineus. El seu silenci, la vitalitat de la seva frescor, els seus rius, les seves nits de cel estrellat i iluminació lunar. Cinc destins, i el sobre ha triat la Garrotxa, els volcans d'Olot, tot passant per Sant Joan de les Abadesses. Poble alçat sobre un pont, de la vall que genera el riu Ter; crescut sota un monestir a ordre de Guifré el Pilós. A través de passatges ombrívols gaudeixes les seves fonts, i et perds per carrers estrets que amaguen el secret a veus del Comte Arnau. I et perds definitivament sentint les veus d'un vent gironí, fent camins de senyors, pagesos, vilatans, i trens. Passant per Olot a Besalú, canviant el cavall per un vehicle de pedalades. Volcans, fagedes, aiguamolls i estanys, fins a fer en un poble, aixecat per un pont romànic, sobre un riu, el Fluvià, que t'ensenya que estàs en una ciutat medieval, que es la vila comtal.

I ja fet, descobreixes el mas, perdut per les terres que anteriorment, tingueren un amo, que no fos la meva propia experiència.
